Sometimes as a graphic artist you may need to create images that are simply to pay your bills; still a really fun job! For this project imagine that you are a super hot shot graphic designer and you have just landed a contract to create a skateboard deck design for an awesome skate company, OR a concert gig poster for your favorite musical artist/band. Projects must be created in illustrator, though you can trace photos that YOU HAVE TAKEN - NOT FROM THE WEB. Do not copy an existing design for a deck or poster. You must combine multiple images to create your project: don't just trace one image. Remember compositional rules! Both projects may include use of the gradient tool. Here is a new tutorial on how to use the gradient tool:
Requirements for both:
Trace or draw with the pen tool at least 3 different images into your project that are fairly complicated.
Include a clear focal point - follow rules of composition.
