A4: Truth in Advertising Project

At this point you should be fairly well equipped to use many basic Photoshop techniques. This is a full blown project where you will now use your techniques to create a satirical piece of artwork. Advertisements are often very misleading. Study the examples below closely to get a good understanding of the project.

Step 1: Find a magazine advertisement image on Google Image Search.
Step 2: Create a visual analysis and description of how the advertisement uses (often) imagery to convey meaning.
Step 3: Create a Photoshopped spoof of the advertisement; show what the advertisement might be like if it were being truthful. keeping in mind our discussion on intellectual property, appropriation and plagiarism: you must change the image at least 50%. If you would like to use a camera to take pictures that is great.
Make sure to use that refine edge tool with your selections!
